Improvement of the Appearance of the Ears

Otoplasty is the surgical procedure aimed at restoring or enhancing the appearance of the ears, especially in cases of deformities such as excessive size, protrusion from the head, excessive outward tilt, poor development, or incorrect shape.

The procedure is performed under neuroleptic anesthesia (sedation) or local anesthesia. During the surgery, an incision is made behind the ear, and through this incision, the anatomy of the ear is corrected to improve its appearance.

After the surgery, the patient can return home immediately, provided they wear the appropriate bandage to protect the ears from minor injuries. Recovery is quick, and the patient can return to work and shower the next day.

For the next 10 to 15 days, the patient may experience slight swelling, which gradually subsides, and full recovery is typically completed about one month after the procedure.
